Computer Science and Information Systems Internships

要符合报名参加实习课程的资格，您必须:

• 计算机科学或计算机信息系统专业
• have a GPA of at least 2.67 in the courses in your major
• 已修完CSCI 401:软件工程或同时修读该课程, if you are a computer science major
• 获得项目主席和文理学院院长的许可

Computer Science

Computer Information Systems

What Internship Courses Provide

An internship course gives you the opportunity to:

• 培养将理论应用于实际工作情境的技能

• develop/acquire good work habits
• develop and enhance employment opportunities
• achieve higher levels of academic performance

Method of Instruction 

你将平均每周花一个小时在研讨会上加上12个小时在你的工作现场. 你的研讨会将包括你在实习中遇到的技术问题和其他问题的讨论，以及你的最终实习报告. Your final report should contain the following items: 

• 对公司的简要描述，它是做什么的，以及它是如何组织的
• a brief description of your job duties
• a description of your projects

• any special challenges that you faced

Method of Evaluation 

你的指导老师，你的现场主管，你将签署一份 Internship Proposal and Agreement Form 明确要求你圆满完成实习的现场部分. This form will include the following information: 

• name and address of the organization
• location where you will be working, if different
• contact information for the on-site supervisor
• hours and duration of the internship
• brief description of your job duties and/or projects. These should directly relate to your major
• 评估和评分程序，包括现场主管的评估

In addition, 你必须成功地满足课程课堂部分的要求. 

End of Semester Process

Search for an Internship

• working with the Career Development Center

After Finding an Internship

• 与导师会面，寻求对你工作描述的认可
• complete and turn in an Internship Proposal and Agreement Form 请注意:本文件必须由现场主管批准, signed by you, 并在11月15日前将复印件交给你的指导老师，由你和现场主管保留，以便进行春季实习, April 15 for a summer internship, July 31 for a fall internship.
• receive approval from the program chair
